  • Sleep Trackers Dropping in Price

    As the holiday season approaches and competition for the sleep and fitness tracker consumer market heats up, manufacturers are introducing new models with reduced prices. The latest entry on the scene is the Misfit Flash, from the same manufacturer as the previously released Misfit Shine. Where the Shine’s selling price is a generous $100, the Flash sells for just $50. The tradeoff between the two is all about the materials. The Shine’s body is made of attractive anodized aluminum while the Flash is made of a lighter weight, cheaper polycarbonate plastic. The Flash also loses some of its underwater ability, as though it is still waterproof it only provides protection to thirty meters, where the Shine is good up to fifty meters. Continue reading
